The California Young Democrats Asian Pacific Islander Caucus (CYD API Caucus) recruits and develops a new generation of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) political leadership, including candidates for elected office, throughout the state. 

CYD API Caucus also encourages young APIs to become actively involved in political affairs through political campaigns and government positions, in order to hold the system accountable to the needs and issues of young people and Asian Pacific Islander communities.
